OtherSteve's Vacation in Fort Myers
Days 1 and 2

On Days 1 and 2 of our Spring Break trip, we drove for 16 hours and then sat around at home for several more hours tired of all the driving. I didn't drive on the way down, but playing Game Boy and listening to music on a Discman can be pretty exhausting. It's a good thing I was there, because we needed someone up to the task.

Oh yeah, we did take the Education Route on the way down, so when we were finished we all felt quite a bit more knowledgeable. None of us ever figured out why there was a picture of a hurricane on the Education Route signs (NOTE: Do not write me emails explaining to me why there is a picture of a hurricane on this sign. If you do that, I hate you).

We did take a quick dip in the pool, too, and we paid close attention to the rules. However, in the end, we found it difficult to follow the rules stating that the "Nearest Telephone is in Office" and that the "Pool Depth's Measured in Feet". Thank God they put those on there, because for a second there I was actually thinking that the pool depth might be measured in furlongs. Nevertheless, in the end, we ignored these rules and went back to bathing in the pool.

To be honest with you, I don't have a whole lot of pictures to show from our trip down to Florida. So, here's a picture of me riding in the car to make up for this obvious lack of substance:

I was laughing about how hot my butt was after sitting on the seat for a couple of consecutive hours, and how I was so hungry but Paul wouldn't stop and let me eat. Eventually, we went to Wendy's, but I was too hungry to take any pictures. Besides, it's just Wendy's anyway, so if you want pictures, that sounds like a personal problem to me.
